Applying for a grant is always free.
Nobody can guarantee you a grant.
Anyone who promises guaranteed approval for a fee is running a scam. A few private programs charge a small application fee - we always print it next to the grant, and you pay it only on the funder's own official site.
New grants for restaurants open all year, on federal sites, state portals, and foundation pages nobody checks daily. We watch them, keep only the ones a small restaurant can actually apply for, and email you before the deadlines - not after.
Start free: get this month's sample list - 20 current grants for small restaurants, with deadlines and official links. This is a grant alert subscription for small restaurants in the United States: a filtered list matched to your state and restaurant type, one email when a matching grant opens, and one warning email before each deadline. Every entry in the sample was checked against its official program page on November 3, 2026. Every grant carries a live status - Open, or Closing soon with the exact days left - and you can check the status of any grant on this page, including grants that are not on our list. Subscriptions are $19/month (validation pricing, pending final approval - nothing is charged today).
A grant alert subscription for small restaurants. Not a database of everything - a short, filtered list of grants that match your state and restaurant type, plus an email reminder before each deadline.
Each entry shows three dates: where we found it (its source channel), the day we picked it up, and the day the funder announced it - and one status: Open, Closing soon (a fixed deadline 30 days away or less, with the exact days left), or Expired. Only Open and Closing soon grants are ever shown or emailed; the day a grant expires, it leaves the list, and its status is afterwards given only to someone who asks about that grant. The status is the product: when a grant on your list changes status, that change is what triggers your email.
What is in this sample: 20 grants - 0 federal, 4 state and local government, 16 foundation and corporate programs. Every entry below is open to applications as of November 3, 2026 - 16 Open and 4 Closing soon - and every amount, deadline and eligibility summary was read from the official program page linked in its row. Two entries are not cash to your business - the Texas training program pays the college, and the Feed the Soul program pays a bookkeeping partner - and both rows say so plainly. Expired programs are never displayed here: for this sample we also checked 19 further programs that were already closed, between rounds, or not confirmable on their official page; they are counted in our verification ledger, not shown.

If a grant in this list closes, it leaves the list and is recorded in our archive with its closing date - never left in looking open, never silently dropped from the record. If this list and an official page ever disagree, the official page is right - tell us at draftokai@gmail.com and we fix the entry.
Every grant in the library has its own status page, titled with the question people actually ask:
Heard about a grant somewhere - a forwarded post, an old newsletter, another site? Type its name, or paste its link, and ask whether it is still open.
If it is in our library, you get the answer on the spot: its status, its three dates, and its official source. If it is not, your question joins a check queue: we verify it against the funder's official page, add it to the library with its own status page, and email you the answer within 2 business days. We do not pretend to know every grant instantly - the library grows one verified answer at a time.
The answer states facts only: whether the program is open, its closing date, and the official source. If it has already closed, the answer gives the closing date and lists similar grants that are still open, where our library has them - and if none are open right now, it says so. If you would like deadlines watched for you, the alert subscription below is the next step.
Public sources only: Grants.gov, state government portals, and foundations' own published program pages. Every entry in your list links to the official source, and every entry shows the date we last checked it. If an official page and our list ever disagree, the official page is right - tell us and we fix the entry.
One honest note about federal grants: the SBA says it plainly on its own grants page - "SBA does not provide grants for starting and expanding a business." Federal grant money flows to nonprofits, research programs and state export programs, not to restaurant operating budgets. That is why this month's sample has no federal rows. The month a federal program genuinely opens to small restaurants, it goes on this list - we do not pad the list to hit a number.
It depends on the grant. Common conditions include your state, how long you've been open, business structure, and owner categories (for example, women-owned or veteran-owned programs). We show each grant's stated eligibility conditions as a summary of the official page. We do not judge whether you qualify - only the grant maker can decide that, when you apply.

Not ready? Take the free sample first - 20 current grants for small restaurants, no card, no obligation.
Grants.gov lists everything, unfiltered, and sends no reminders tailored to a small restaurant. We do the filtering and the deadline-watching. The underlying information is the same public information.
When a matching grant opens, and once before a deadline on your list. In a quiet month, that can be zero emails.
No. We link you to the official application and its instructions. Many grants offer free help through the SBA and local Small Business Development Centers.
Yes, from your account page. Your alerts continue until the end of the paid month.
Some private programs do - the fee is printed next to the grant in every list we send, and you pay it only to the funder, on the funder's own official site. Government grant applications never charge a fee. You never pay us, or anyone else, to submit an application.
No. We are an independent alert service run by DraftOk. We read the funders' public program pages and link to them. We do not work for any funder, and no funder pays us to list a grant.
Open means the funder is accepting applications. Closing soon means a fixed deadline is 30 days away or less, and the exact days left are shown. Expired means the deadline has passed or the funder closed the program. Expired grants are never shown or emailed as open - they leave the list the day we catch them. An expired status is given only when someone asks about that grant, and the answer states the closing date and its official source, and lists similar grants that are still open.
Yes - use the status check on this page. If the grant is in our library, you get its status, its three dates and its official source on the spot. If it is not, your question joins a check queue: we verify it against the funder's official page, add it to the library with its own status page, and email you the answer within 2 business days. Either way, we report status and facts only - never whether you would qualify or be approved.
